Hi, I'm Rebekah

I’ve been a licensed dental hygienist for over 20 years, and I truly love the opportunity to care for and connect with patients along the way. I was raised in the dental world as my Dad is still practicing dentistry today. We have enjoyed years of "shop talk" and I deeply value learning from him through our ongoing conversations and shared perspective on clinical care.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping people understand their oral health and seeing that moment when it finally clicks. When they feel empowered to take ownership of their home care is when we begin to see real, lasting results.

Over the years, I’ve worked with patients with a wide range of habits and routines. Many remain consistent with regular visits, and others coming in only when something feels off. Dental appointments are vital for maintaining oral health, but what happens beyond the dental chair is what ultimately makes the greatest difference.

This resource has been on my heart to create for many years. During a continuing education course, the presenting Periodontist said something that has stuck with me: “If you don’t teach your patient how to clean their mouth at home, you have failed.” It was simple, direct, and absolutely true. Education matters, and it should be practical, clear, and doable.

I’m not a one-size-fits-all kind of person. Health isn’t cookie-cutter, and your oral care shouldn’t be either. We all have different needs, routines, and seasons of life. That said, there are a few foundational habits and tools that can make a meaningful difference for nearly everyone. I’m here to help you find what works best for you.

I believe in bridging clinically proven, evidence based, dental care with a whole-body perspective. Which helps you make informed choices that align with your values and your life, whatever that may be.

My hope is that this space feels encouraging, informative, and helpful. Whether you’re ready to invest in new tools or simply start with the basics, please believe you are capable of improving your oral health.

Small, consistent steps truly add up.

Welcome, and thank you for being here,

Rebekah

 Beyond the Dental Chair

I created this space to help bridge the gap between dental visits and everyday life. My goal is to provide practical, balanced oral health education that helps people feel informed, encouraged, and confident in caring for their health at home.
